(14 September 2016 Session)
The Inter-agency Commission for Free and Fair Elections, being responsible for facilitating the conduct of 2016 Parliamentary Elections in a free and fair environment, hereby issues the following recommendation to
Political parties (electoral subjects) participating in the elections:
Until the final results of the elections are officially published by the Central Election Commission (CEC), political parties (electoral subjects) should employ their best efforts to ensure that their activists and supporters refrain from attending pre-election meetings of the opponent political parties or pre-election meetings of the candidates from those parties, as well as from conducting any counter campaign in parallel or in response to such meetings, in order to prevent the risk of any verbal and physical confrontation on political grounds.
