Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany notes that the elections were held in fair, transparent and peaceful environment and it is a very good basis for two important events that are expected to take place in Georgia this month.
Under the new constitution, which will come into force as soon as you start to fulfill your duties, Georgia will move to the parliamentary democracy. Initiating the EU Association and Free Trade Agreements at the Vilnius summit by the end of November will be an important step taken by your country in order to be economically and politically connected with the EU. The government of the Federal Republic of Germany will remain a reliable partner of Georgia to achieve these and other objectives,"- the congratulatory letter reads.
President Joachim Gauck notes in the congratulatory letter that Germany is a trusted partner for Georgia, which will help the country in implementation of democratic reforms in the future too.
‘Germany is observing Georgia’s aspiration to strengthening democracy with great expectation. Germany is a trusted partner for Georgia, which will help the country in implementation of democratic reforms in the future too’, he says.
