Who will arrive from the U.S. to attend the inauguration of the president elect Giorgi Margvelashvili will be known tomorrow, Foreign Minister Maia Panjikidze told journalists.
Panjikidze said that the person will be a high ranking official.
Panjikidze informs that Georgia expects delegations from 30 countries, including two or three presidents. The Moldovan President will also visit Georgia; Lithuania’s president’s visit is also being discussed.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs informs that chairpersons of parliament, members of government, and ministers of economic teams of different countries will arrive for the inauguration. The Georgian party also expects the Deputy Foreign Minister of Japan, speaker of parliament of Israel, OSCE Secretary General. Maia Panjikidze states that the exact number of guests will be known tomorrow.
As for Russia, Panjikidze said that Georgia doesn’t have diplomatic relations with this country and invitations were not sent.
