The Prime Minister of Georgia Bidzina Ivanishvili states that it was a big surprise for him too that National Movement received 21% in the presidential election, Ivanishvili said at the meeting with the media.
“I didn’t even expect something like this to happen, even in the worst scenario”, Ivanishvili said.
The Prime Minister says that it has been clear that the Georgian people lack political culture. “It’s from my viewpoint, and I don’t want to humiliate anyone” Ivanishvili said.
He said that despite “having a different, European type of government, have you seen what happened?”
“Our voters didn’t come, what I felt and worried about. My reaction regarding the second term was not accidental”, Ivanishvili said.
As the Prime minister said, he wants this approach to change and people to have more feeling of responsibility.
As the Prime Minister said, people who he met are surprised that National Movement received over 21%.
The Prime Minister said that “people forgot what happened a year ago so simply”. He said that the National Movement candidates and supporters are citizens of Georgia and they must be respected too. “But obscure support encourages being vague”, Ivanishvili said.
