Transparency International – Georgia has prepared recommendations for all parties involved in the second round of elections.
"It is important once again to clearly explain the rules and procedures for the conduct of elections, including through providing additional written instructions.
It is important to pay special attention to the qualification of the newly elected members of commissions.
It is also important the observation organizations to be allowed to observe the election process without any hindrance. At the same time, the observation and media organizations must not hinder the election process.
Statements of party leaders should not be left without response and relevant authorities must launch an investigation into any reported incident.
It is necessary to conduct a prompt and effective investigation into alleged cases of pressure on voters, while political parties should not disseminate unverified information abut such facts.
Political parties must appeal to the activists not to provoke tensions on the election day.
It is important that political parties communicate with monitoring organizations in accordance with ethical norms", - reads the statement of the organization.
