Only 4 816 out of 49 694 voters registered abroad took part in the parliamentary elections.
The Central Election Commission summarized results of the elections held on 8 October outside Georgia.
According to Central Election Commission Chairwoman Tamar Zhvania, turnout was low abroad.
The Parliamentary elections were held in 40 countries, 55 polling stations were opened in all. In addition, two polling stations were opened in Afghanistan.
1862 overseas voters voted for the Georgian Dream - Democratic Georgia, 1589 - for the United National Movement, 490 - Irakli Alasania - Free Democrats, 177 - Republicans, 176 - Shalva Natelashvili - Labor Party, 90 - Paata Burchuladze – State for People, 88 - Alliance of Patriots, 300 - Nino Burjanadze - Democratic Movement.
