Party leader Konstantine Gamsakhurdia
Founded in January 2004. Its founder was Konstantin Gamsakhurdia, Georgia's former president, Zviad Gamsakhurdia’s son. First elections in 2004, the party received 4.39 %. In April, the party unsuccessfully challenged the election results in the Supreme Court. The 2005 mid-term elections, “Freedom" was cooperating with other opposition parties: the Labor Party, Conservative Party, New Rights.
