Tbilisi City Council Chairman Irakli Shikhiahsivli has transferred his bonus to the Monk Andria Fund, the statement from the City Council says.
‘The mentioned decision was made much earlier than the noise was made about it. We were not going to talk about the decision in public, but given the fact that some tried to mislead people, we decided to release a statement. Our initiation was presented and approved at the bureau session. There exists a protocol and everybody can see it’, he said.
According to him, they will hold a presentation of the efforts taken by them in the capital on 30 June. ‘We will present what was done in the capital during our governance. After this, people will decide whether the employees of the City Hall deserved the bonuses or not. I think they deserve bonuses and I state that on 25 June. The majority of deputies will transfer money to sick children’, Shikhiashvili said.

Irakli Shikhiahsivli, the Chairman of the Tbilisi City Council, got the highest bonus – 2496 laris in June as per the document released by the City Hall yesterday. The second largest bonus was received by
First Deputy Chairman Giorgi Muskhelishvili.
