The Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili summarized the results of the local elections.
As per Garibashvili, the election results show that Georgian Dream will be presented with 67,6% in city halls throughout Georgia and as for the rest parties and initiative groups – with 20%, and National Movement with – 13%.
As the leader of Georgian Dream, I decided to present a report to our voters and society. I would like to summarize the local elections and make some significant conclusions. Unfortunately, I see that information propaganda is under way but not in the right way, as less important issues are highlighted. From my point of view we are indebted to tell people the truth. According to majority and proportional election results, Georgian Dream will be presented with 67,6%, the rest parties and initiative groups – with 20%, and National Movement with – 13%. Of course, we welcome to such city halls and self-government authorities. We are glad that candidates of parties and initiative groups occupy the second place in almost all districts and they are followed by National Movement. Finally, 6 opposition forces will be presented in different city halls and this fact represents a victory of the Georgian democracy. According to the results of majority elections, Georgian Dream has a full support from the society,” – Garibashvili said.
