I would like to congratulate you on these historic elections and thank our foreign partners for their objective evaluation,” – said the Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili on today’s government session.
According to him the government appreciates and feels the support from international community.
The Prime Minister thanked the Central Election Commission which worked very well, according to his assessment.
“Everything was organized very well, the elections passed very peacefully and democratically. Aleksandre Tchikadize and his Ministry should be especially respected. I would like to thank each employee of it, they worked around the clock in order to ensure order and security,” – the Prime Minister said.
According to Irakli Garibashvili, in fact, ‘’Georgian Dream’’ gained victory everywhere and an absolute majority at all councils.
‘’881 out of 1049 majority candidates are from Georgian Dream, that means 77.4%. All other candidates are presented by other opposition and initiative groups. As for the opposition parties having a caprice to gain the second place, I mean National Movement, they only managed to have just 6.1% of majority candidates. This is that which we are talking about, their real rating is 6%,” – the Prime Minister said.
As per Garibashvili, the result of the elections is a good example that will assist the governing team to prepare better for the next elections.
‘’Naturally, we saw some errors that need to be improved in the future, but the elections were held very well and democratically. It is very important for me,” – Irakli Garibashvili said.
