According to the electoral code, the Central Election Commission of Georgia must determine the date for a second round, if none of the candidates received the necessary votes in the first round.
A candidate who receives more votes shall be considered as elected in the second round of elections, while in case of the equal number of votes, a candidate, having received more votes in the first round, shall be deemed elected.
