Self-government Elections 2014
In the frames of the 2014 budget 34.673,300 GEL was allocated to be spent on the local elections. For the CEC it has been unknown what expenses will be necessary for the run-off and whether the amount allocated from the budget is necessary.
As Irakli Gharibashvili estimates, everything was organized very well, the elections passed very peacefully and democratically.
According to Irakli Gharibashvili, the coalition "Georgian Dream" has prevailed practically everywhere and gained an absolute majority in every City Councils.
As the Minister of Internal Affairs Aleksandre Tchikaidze told reporters, under the Georgian Prime Minister’s initiative, the moratorium which was announced in the pre-election period may last till the run-off.
The mayor candidates of the run-off received more votes that their parties in Tbilisi.
